Hallam’s Black British Access Programme

Office for Students statistics show that Black British students are one of most underrepresented groups in higher education. Here at Sheffield Hallam University, we have created an access programme to support Black British students through their application year and into their first year at Hallam. At the event, students will have the opportunity to explore the campus, listen to motivational speaker Stephen Seki, ask questions to current students, and engage in sessions on budgeting and personal statement writing. After this event, students will have the opportunity to join our Black British mentoring scheme and receive extra support with their journey to higher education.
