The Sheffield Hallam University Law Explorer Programme

Sheffield Hallam University is pleased to launch the Law Explorer Programme — an exciting opportunity for Year 12 students to discover what it’s like to study Law at Sheffield Hallam University. 

This programme offers an authentic insight into university-level Law. By taking part, you will: 

• Experience interactive Law taster sessions 

• Complete reflective activities designed to strengthen your reasoning, decision making and values 

• Explore our state-of-the-art Social Sciences Building and the Hallam Legal Advice Centre 

• Hear inspiring talks from alumni and gain insights into student life 

• Receive personalised 1:1 support with your CV and personal statement 

Programme Dates 

• 24 June 2026 – Online Induction Event via Microsoft Teams (4:00–4:30pm) 

• 1 July 2026 – In person, Sheffield Hallam University, City Campus 

• 2 July 2026 – In person, Sheffield Hallam University, City Campus 

• 3 July 2026 – In person, Sheffield Hallam University, City Campus 

Who Can Take Part? 

We welcome nominations for all Year 12 students studying at a sixth form or college — whether or not they currently study Law. Our aim is to inspire the next generation of Law students. 

All prospective participants must have a signed nomination form completed by a teacher or support staff member at their sixth form or college. 

How to Apply 

To apply, please download and complete the nomination form. 

• The form must be fully completed 

• A supporting member of staff from your sixth form or college must sign the nomination form 

The deadline for nominations is 25 May 2026. We will contact applicants shortly after this date.

What Happens After I Submit My Nomination Form? 

All nomination forms will be reviewed, and successful applicants accepted onto the programme will be notified by 1st June 2026. 

Please note: If we receive a high volume of applications, nominations may close early. We therefore encourage early submission.
