Student Conference of Sport 2027

Join us at Collegiate Campus on Thursday 17 June 2027 for the Student Conference of Sport 2027; a day of inspiring talks, workshops, and practical sessions exploring the breadth and vibrancy of careers in sport.

Themed around a high-profile sporting event and delivered by Sheffield Hallam’s expert staff and current students, this event will give your students insight into the cutting-edge research pushing the sector forward, and the innovation, passion and determination needed to coach athletes to the very highest level.

What’s involved

We are aiming to welcome around 150 Y10/Y12 students to the 2027 Student Conference of Sport. On the day, students will:

• hear a keynote talk from an industry leader
• attend a mixture of practical and classroom-based workshops covering sport science, coaching, sport business, and more
• tour Collegiate Campus and the University’s sport facilities
• chat to current students about how they’re turning their passion for sport into their profession.

Eligibility requirements 

The Student Conference of Sport is aimed at students in Y10 and Y12. Students do not need to be studying sport to attend.
