Engage learners through interactive, age-appropriate sessions on key issues affecting young people today, combining academic insight with practical awareness.
What’s Covered
The programme supports early crime prevention education, while also giving our undergraduate students valuable experience in designing and delivering real-world, community-focused learning.
Sessions are shaped by different academic perspectives (criminological, psychological, and sociological) creating dynamic, thought-provoking learning experiences.
Session Themes
Our undergraduate students will design and deliver engaging workshops on topics such as:
County Lines:
This session explores how criminal gangs exploit young people in drug distribution networks across regions. Learners will examine:
- Grooming and coercion tactics
- Warning signs and risk factors

The aim is to build understanding, resilience, and awareness, helping students recognise and respond to potential risks.
Cybercrime and Online Harms:
This session introduces learners to the evolving challenges of the digital world, including:
- AI-enabled crimes (e.g. deepfakes, scams, impersonation)
- Cyberbullying and online exploitation
- Safe and responsible digital behaviour
Students will develop greater awareness of digital risks and protective strategies, supporting safer online engagement.
