Sport and Physical Activity Experience Days

Our on-campus Sport & Physical Activity experience days are designed to give KS5 students unrivalled insight into the breadth and vibrancy of university-level sport, and the careers and pathways beyond.

Delivered at Collegiate Campus, they’re the ideal first step for KS5 students considering progression to HE, and can be tailored to fit your group’s specific needs or interests.

What’s involved

Our experience days run throughout the year and can ordinarily accommodate up to 50 students. Delivered by staff from across the School of Sport & Physical Activity (SSPA), our events are hands-on, expert-led, and designed with Level 3 curricula in mind. Each day comprises of:

• Welcome talk delivered by SSPA staff
• Classroom-based workshop focusing on sport business, coaching, or sport and exercise science
• Practical workshops exploring sport science (including lab- and field-based testing), coaching, or PE and school sport
• Student ambassador-led campus tour and Q&A

Eligibility requirements 

These events are primarily aimed at students studying Level 3 courses at sixth forms and colleges, though we will always aim to accommodate KS4 groups where possible. Students do not need to be studying sport to attend.
