Women in Finance Taster Day: Inspiring Women, Inspiring Careers

Join us for an exclusive event designed for women interested in exploring the dynamic world of finance. This is a chance for students to meet and network with women working across a range of financial industries including accounting, insurance, financial planning, wealth management, banking, and more.

Throughout the day, students will:

– Get a taster of different finance career pathways and hear real stories from women who’ve built successful careers in the sector.

– Take part in an interactive taster lecture, experiencing how finance is taught at university.

– Explore the tools professionals use to understand financial markets, giving you a glimpse into the world of applied finance.

– Connect with university staff who will be on hand to answer your questions about studying finance and the opportunities it can open for your future.

Whether students are curious about the industry or already considering a finance-focused degree, this is a supportive and inspiring space to explore their options.

Our Women in Finance Experience Day will take place on Thursday 17th June 2027 and will run from 9:45 – 14:30. We recommend arriving from 9:30 for a prompt start.

Travel  

We recommend planning your travel arrangements in advance. As a city-centre university, we do not have on-site parking available; however, there are nearby privately owned car parks that we can direct you to.

For environmental reasons, and as we are conveniently located next to Sheffield train station and the Sheffield bus interchange, we encourage travel by public transport whenever possible.
