We’re delighted to offer our Power of the Portfolio masterclass in the 2026/2027 academic year for students studying Level 3 qualifications.
Gain tips on presenting your work, developing ideas and preparing for university applications.
What’s Involved
Power of the Portfolio explores how to create a strong creative industries portfolio through an engaging, practical session.
This masterclass is designed to enhance curriculum learning and complement careers education. Led by experienced staff, it provides practical guidance to support progression into higher education and creative careers.
The 3 hour hands-on session takes place in our specialist facility, the Head Post Office, where students will explore how to develop, curate and present their work effectively.

Our Power of the Portfolio masterclass runs from 10:00–13:00.

Eligibility Requirements
These sessions are open to students studying Level 3 courses at sixth forms and colleges. Students do not need to be studying art and design courses to attend.
Our masterclasses are ideal for students who are considering university, whether they have already chosen to study a creative industries course or are still exploring their options.

Travel
We recommend planning your travel arrangements in advance. As a city-centre university, we do not have on-site parking available; however, there are nearby privately owned car parks that we can direct you to.
For environmental reasons, and as we are conveniently located next to Sheffield train station and the Sheffield bus interchange, we encourage travel by public transport whenever possible.
