Media Masterclass

Professionalising your social media content creation skills through media and communications research and practices.

In this masterclass, students will be asked to create short videos for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram to raise awareness of the impact of and/or the future of AI in the Creative Industries. Students will work in groups and use frameworks in Media and Communications to plan your content, including researching the issue,  coming up with content ideas, writing a video script and a short storyboard. Students will then film a short videos using appropriate techniques and share them with your classmates and tutors.  

Overall length: 1.30 hours (30 min of introduction to BA (Hon) Media and Communications + and 1-hour main Masterclass) 

Delivery Location:
Can be delivered at Sheffield Hallam University’s City campus or off-campus, subject to the facilities available at the school or college.

Audience:
Suitable for Year 9 and above

Ideal for: 

Students studying English, media and other creative industry subjects, however students from all subject areas are welcome.
